What is measured, and what you receive.
Each lot is released against an enterprise standard that states purity, identity, water and counter-ion content as separate lines. The certificate reports the measured value, not just the limit.
| Test | What it tells you |

| Purity (HPLC) | The peptide itself, separated from truncated sequences. |
| Identity (ESI-MS) | That the molecular weight matches the sequence. |
| Water content (K.F.) | How much of the weight is water. |
| Counter-ion content | Acetic acid, hydrochloric acid, TFA or chloride carry-over. |
| Heavy metals | Lead, arsenic, mercury and cadmium against cosmetic limits. |
| Microbial limits | Total aerobic count, mould and yeast, and where relevant endotoxin. |
